The failed architecture website, unlike other sites tries to constructively critize the structures of buildings. It aims at looking at the flaws of various famous and not so famous building and helping the readers see the effects of issues in architecture which are mostly ignored and find solutions to this issues.
After I looked through the website, i had a better view on how even the buildings that look like they are so amazing in the world have hidden flaws. A building is usually seen as a grand facade, Most architect and people involved in architecture usually fails to consider the impact of the environment on the building, if it fits into its context, if the buildings form does not allow it to bring profit or it is unable to perform its function.

the problem
Quality and Materiality
The image below shows the Ronan pony council estate in Newham London The vertical collapse of these building is as a result of a gas explosion on the !8th floor, from a tenant trying to light her stove. The building's side collapsed claiming 4 lives. It is was discovered that the weakness of the building was in the joint that connected the vertical walls to the floor slabs. The construction workers filled the joint with news papers instead of concrete. The large scale of production and the subsidisationof building by the 1950s and 1960s led to the decline in the quality of materials used.

Solution
The obvious solution here is that the quality control of buildings should be strictly monitored. The building supervisors and planning committee sometimes leave a few things which they are supposed to check out. This may have a future effect on the building. As seen in the flats that collapsed, sometimes human lives are at risk if a building is poorly built so it is important that structs policies be used in the construction of a building.
The materiality of a building is also very important. It is important that when choosing the materials for the construction of a building we think about the future impact of the environment on that building. In building, all the material we use come from the environment. A rock standing undergoes weathering, If this rock is used to create cement and used on buildings some of its weathering properties transfer to the building. In building now, the effects of natural elements such as oxygen, rain, sunlight and trees is ignored. Most buildings are presented as grandeur solutions to the world problem and people remain obnoxious to the fact that the materiality of the building has a huge role to play in its continued existence. If gravity and these condions were to be considered maybe architecture will have continuity and the "grand facade" image will remain

It is important that building always follows its context.
Dalibor Vesely wrote that " the relationship between the object and the interning spaces is not formal: it is always rooted in the context of a particular setting" In the construction of buildings we must ensure that it fits well into its environment.
The image below shows the Notre dame in Yamousoukro. It lacks contextual reference because, It is built on the outskirts of the town. This does not fit into the indigenous building ways of the area. The materials used in its construction were even foreign, example is the marble. The fact that there is poverty dominate in this area and the country resource is pulled into a building this expensive. It is important that a building always fits into its environment and its budget doesn't affect the public. It can be argued also that a lot of religious buildings have been replicated in history. The religious world tends to have a very liberal view towards the constructions of copies of it or buildings that threaten it.
