The height the bridge arises at the canal has to be more than 2.5 meter so that it allows the boats pass through the middle and it almost keeps the tow path:
The maximum boat size that can navigate the Nottingham Canal is
length: 79' 9" (24.3 metres) - Castle Lock
beam: 15' 2" (4.62 metres) - Castle Lock
height: 8' 0" (2.44 metres) - Chain Lane / London Road Bridge
draught: 4' 0" (1.22 metres) - cill of Castle Lock

This is the structural joint of the bridge. I will use a concrete foundation. This is the details of the structure
WHAT IS A BRIDGE?
A bridge is a structure built to span physical obstacles such as a body of water, valley, or road, for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle. There are many different designs that all serve unique purposes and apply to different situations.(oxford, 2014,online).
The site is filled with cyclists, people having lunch, workers. From an outsiders view the area looks like a very close knit group od people who have been culturally integrated. The upper half of the site is filled with residential areas. Children can be found here. The lower hald is mainly filled with people trying to shop or people going to work. The canal area is mainly used by boat users who were sometimes seen to wave at each other.
WHERE IS THE SITE?
Initially, these were the sites i chose for the bridge to be. After evaluating the reson i wanted the bridge fo rthr most viable place to have it was neasr the castle bridge. It gave a high ground therby helping with the views and also a a n area that is well populated thereby encouraging the use of the bridge.
